With over 30 years of experience in the design field, including site planning for a range of residential and urban mixed-use developments, land use planning for large-scale residential and commercial projects, and urban planning and streetscape designs for various municipalities, Nancy brings to OZ her big-picture talent supplemented by her strong project management and communication skills.

Ken Breitkreuz, AIA, LEED AP

Ken Breitkreuz is a Senior Associate and has been with the firm since 1998. He has served as Project Architect and Project Manager for many government design projects, including work for the General Services Administration (GSA), Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Department of Tobacco and Firearms, and the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Martin Calderon

Martin Calderon manages the Denver studio's IT department.  With over 17 years of experience in Architectural IT and Cadd management experience, Martin oversees a team of three full time IT staff ensuring that all aspects of OZ's technology is working at top form.  He has been able to combine his interestsin architecture and technology at OZ and brings a true commitment to keeping the firm's technology needs at the cutting edge of the industry.

Shelly Cockrell, LEED AP

As an Associate at OZ, Shelly has 9 years experience and the full range of skills for interior design, from programming through design and construction documentation. Her expertise in project types includes healthcare, retail, corporate office, and schools. She is also an active member in the OZ Sustainable Design Committee. Shelly is currently the project manager for the Department of Education’s offices and she recently completed the interior CDs for the Denver Detention Center

David Dowling

David Dowling has over ten years experience in interior design, graphic design, architectural drafting/detailing and project management. He is highly skilled in 3D modeling, texturing and lighting for realistic architectural illustration/animation. David has acted as lead designer for award winning retail stores and large, high-profile international projects.

Jeff has over 17 years of architecture and construction related experience. He has proven great strength in construction administration, consultant coordination and in understanding the entire construction process. Jeff also has a talent for freehand sketches of construction details for buildings. His expertise is production makes him a valuable asset to the projects that he works on and to the firm as a whole.

Edwin Mocke

Edwin has been with OZ Architecture since 1999.  He provides excellent Project Management skills and has proven his ability to lead a team of designers and design consultants within budget and time constraints.  Edwin also exhibits excellent communication between the Owner and Design Team, and excellent knowledge of the process from design through construction.  His unique abilities in Construction Administration include prior experience in the construction industry which has provided strong background for effective communication in the field.  Also, Edwin demonstrates effective Client-Architect relationships built on candor, clarity and trust through strong knowledge base.  He posesses vast artistic abilities in Comprehensive Design and is a skilled REVIT user.

Kevin Schaffer

Kevin has acted as Project Manager and Project Architect for a varied portfolio of projects including Broadmoor West Residence resort and T. Rowe Price high-tech office space as well as Gateway Station - a high density mixed-use development. His education focused on urban design and sustainable design which he has been able to implement here at OZ. Kevin is instrumental in invigorating the team spirit at OZ after starting and managing an OZ Soccer Team.

Kasey has eight years experience in both interior and architectural design and coordination. As a Project Manager on our Resort team, she is very skilled in technical drafting and has focused her recent worked primarily on resort and multi-family residential buildings.

Bud Thompson - Director of OZ Project Delivery Services:

Through OZ PDS, Bud provides clients with a single point of contact to manage the thousands of details associated with facilities planning, design management, entitlement, permitting, budgeting, scheduling, contracting, construction management, project close-out, and move-in. Bud has over 20 years of Construction Management and Owner's Representation experience. He worked with Huber, Hunt & Nichols and Devcon Enterprises, as a Project Engineer, Superintendent, and Project Manager, where he gained experience in all aspects of Construction Management. Prior to his Construction Management career, Bud was a Project Manager for Furnistall, Inc. managing FF&E installation on numerous and varied projects.

Karlin Vaessen, AIA, LEED AP
As an Associate at OZ, Karlin has been involved in a variety of project types including multi-family housing, office, municipal, mixed-use and educational work. Most recently, Karlin has worked on the Denver Detention Center, Lincoln Terrace affordable housing and the Downtown Denver multi-family project, Zi Lofts. Her attention to detail and project management skills are an asset to all of her clients.

Carl A. Worthington, AIA, ASLA - Director of Planning and Urban Design:

Since 1962, Carl has focused on architecture, urban design and master planning for significant work, work not measured by size, but rather by relevance to how a project's development impacts its investors, the community, the built-environment and setting.  Projects such as the Denver Technological Center, Westminster Promenade in Westminster, Colorado, and the master planning of a new city center and architecture for a new Bugesera International Airport for the capitol city of Kigali, Rwanda, highlight his prominent career.  Working around the world, he has created complex, themed, mixed-use environments that become the "heart" of the setting they find themselves in, whether an urban center or a new community.
