Dazbog Coffee is headquartered in Denver and currently has eleven retail stores open with plans for expansion to more than twenty sites by the end of 2007. OZ Interiors assisted the corporate owners in the design of their original retail center and their headquarters building in Denver. After the success of this venture, OZ was hired to design their retail prototype interiors and detail the two newest retail locations. The strongly Russian history of the family is integral to the Dazbog story and vision, thus strong red and black colors were used in the interior design.

For years 120 North Tejon had commanded prime position in downtown retail for Colorado Springs. Nationally known retailer Pendleton vacated the space leaving a somewhat chaotic series of modifications and remodels in its wake.

Upon procuring the building in 2008, Sparrowhawk Cookware utilized OZ Architecture in bringing a fresh look throughout the 4,000 square foot store and establishing pedestrian level interest for the street front. The resulting shopping experience blends materials and color palette reminiscent of a higher-end residential kitchen. A re-organizing of the store segments results in a shopping experience that is both interesting, but easily navigated.

Located at the base of the prominent ski mountain in Copper Village, this project consisted of an 11,000 square-foot tenant finish for the high-profile restaurant, lounge, and retail space. The client's spirited personality is conveyed throughout the space. Natural stone is extended from the exterior of the building to the interior of the restaurant and blends with the finished wood. An open kitchen allows aromas to fill the dining room, which features inlaid tables and custom light fixtures. Beyond the dining room is the lounge, separated only by frosted glass panels. The lounge combines embossed leather recliners, matchbook millwork, and built-in flat screen televisions to create an energetic atmosphere and areas to escape. Windows and garage doors are used to separate the lounge from the retail space while still providing a visual connection. Overall, the use of modern design elements and a contrast of natural materials - glass, stainless steel, stone, leather and wood - create an energized lounge, while the restaurant's soft color and intricate detail provide a calming environment.
