The Multi- Scale Modeling of Atmospheric Processes Laboratory (CMMAP) project proposes construction of a two-story, 16,000 SF new building on the Atmospheric Sciences Complex (ATS) on CSU's Foothills Campus. The new space will consists of a Director's suite and offices for three research groups, two current and one future research group. There will be a computer room for the computers to run the atmospheric modeling research as well as a seminar room to hold approximately 100 people. The building is sited to create a plaza between two existing buildings and the new building to create a more pedestrian campus for collaboration. The building is planned to take advantage of the sloped hillside by burrowing into it with a lower level entry from the parking area on the west side and an upper entry at the plaza level on the east side with a two-story lobby space to connect the two entries.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is planning to design and build Triage and Response BSL3 Laboratories to support their mission of "protecting and preserving the health and environment of the people of Colorado" as it relates to hazardous materials and terrorism. The function of the Triage Laboratory is to receive, assess, screen, sub-sample and store primary specimens that are potentially Chem-Bio-Radiological (CBR) hazards with high security, chain of custody, decontamination, and shower in/out protocols. Both chemistry and microbiology personnel will use the Response Laboratory with flexible swing space between. The Laboratory will be used for regular exercises and training purposes, as well as non-routine, real crisis event situations. Construction is on hold for this project.

Designed to set the standard for future developments, OZ Architecture has designed Fitzsimons BioSciences Two - a 150,000 SF office and lab facility on the Fitzsimons Campus. The project houses 50,000 SF of labs and over 100,000 SF of offices for the University Hospital (University of Colorado), as well as 7,000 SF of pedestrian-oriented retail on the future common area. This will be the second building of the bioscience park which will eventually constitute 3 million SF.
