Winter Park Village Core

OZ participated in studies for the Winter Park Village in collaboration with the village planners. Beginning with a conceptual design charette, OZ and the design team explored the village layout, infrastructure and character with the participation of the community, local governing officials, Winter Park Recreational Association resort operators, planners and maintenance staff. As the architect for the Winter Park Parking Structure, OZ designed a structure that is an integral part of the proposed development. Both automobile and pedestrian circulation patterns to and from the parking structure were a major influence in the village studies. A conference center proposed as part of the program for the parking structure creates the public facade to the structure and provides a critical programmatic link between the parking structure and the village.
