OZ Architecture Staff Member Elected to USGBC Board of Directors
 
Colorado, March 2009 – Julie Edwards, LEED AP, staff member at OZ Architecture has been elected to the Board of Directors of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Colorado Chapter.  Edwards will serve a 2-year term among 11 other elected Board Members. “I am excited to be joining such a talented group of individuals and look forward to take on this new challenge”, stated Edwards.
 
Edwards has been an active member of the USGBC Colorado Chapter for over five years.  During this time, Edwards has participated in many committees including the Colorado Greenbuild Host Committee for International Greenbuild Conference and Expo, the Events Committee, the LEED Credit Western Region Task Force, and the Education Committee. In 2008, Edwards was recognized as a Volunteer of the Year for the Colorado Chapter.
 
Edwards co-founded the Sustainable Committee at OZ in 2000.  The committee provides support, green sources, staff training and promotes green business practices within the office.  As a LEED Accredited Professional, Edwards has served as sustainable specialist and LEED consultant for many projects at OZ.  She is also an active member of the AIA Committee on the Environment (COTE) and the Colorado Renewable Energy Society.
