Boettcher Concert Hall Renovation
Denver, COThe Colorado Symphony has called Colorado’s largest concert hall home for the past 30 years. As the owner of Boettcher Concert Hall, the City of Denver has recently awarded the team of OZ Architecture and Diamond + Schmitt the hall’s $60 million renovation. The proposed design features a dramatic glass facade facing Speer Boulevard and an enclosed shoebox hall rising above the current building in the Performing Arts Complex.
The philosophy of a concert-hall design seeks to, “move beyond the city when they step into the hall, where the whole world changes... [the hall] has to have a sense of itself, to see and be seen. We have to make this an occasion. It’s got to be fun and exciting.”
