Duke University Housing Concept Design
Durham, NCThe Master Plan for Duke University includes two phases of on-campus student housing with parking garages that will be a part of a significant redevelopment of the Central Campus in North Carolina. The results include an "urban" village designed by OZ Architecture with multiple buildings housing a mix of four-bedroom, two-bedroom, and efficiency apartment-style units. Phase 1 includes 500 bedrooms within 230,000 square feet and a multi-story parking garage for 425 cars. Phase 2 includes 700 bedrooms within 330,000 square feet and a multi-story parking garage for 600 cars. The project is to be LEED certified, and final selection of development team is still pending.
