UMC Food Service Renovation - University of Colorado

Boulder, CO

This recent  21,000, $2M sf remodel to the University of Colorado’s primary Student Center focused on improved food service functionality, associated income stream, and importantly, the dining experience.   In bringing new life to the Alferd packer Grill at CU’s University Memorial Center, this project specifically dramatically improved the circulation and flow of the food service area, and created a new bakery and coffee shop identity for  Baby Doe’s.

This project was a student-funded project that gave us the opportunity to become sensitive, true stewards of the students’ funds and the sacrifices they’ve made for themselves and future students.

The project incorporates many sustainable principles to improve operations costs, energy efficiency, and highlights the use of recycled materials to express to all users the University’s goals of environmental stewardship.
Area: 21,180 sf
